Project Nexus Service Definition

xoserve’s investment programme offers a unique opportunity for the industry to input into the nature and scope of the services required from xoserve and the next generation of data processes and systems that will underpin the competitive gas market in Britain.

The current UK Link and associated systems are ageing and require significant investment over the next few years. It is important that this investment is undertaken not only as efficiently as possible but also in such a way as to provide a platform that will meet the needs of the industry in the medium to long term.

The first phase of the consultation identified topics to be considered and we are now in the Requirements Definition phase.

Requirements are being developed based on industry discussions in a number of working groups including under the auspices of the Project Nexus UNC Workstream (PNUNC). There is also a dependency on the Smart Metering Implementation Programme (SMIP).

The Project Nexus Advisory Group (PNAG) was established to promote stakeholder engagement and to advise on the most effective approach to define requirements. The approach to defining these requirements can be found in the ‘Project Nexus – Development of Requirements – Project Brief’ which can be found under the PNAG section.
